GeelongPort is a proud partner with the following organisations:
Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race
Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race is a weekend-long number of events each January focussing on health and wellbeing, fitness, fun and bike riding with the beautiful Corio Bay as a backdrop and along our pristine coastlines.
GeelongPort is joining forces with the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race to make the Family Ride possible. The free event open to all is an opportunity to get together with family and friends and ride part of the bike course of an international event.
Marine Mammal Foundation
Marine Mammal Foundation The Marine Mammal Foundation is a not-for-profit research, education, and conservation organisation. GeelongPort and the Marine Mammal Foundation are joining forces to monitor the Burrunan dolphins, a critically endangered species in Corio Bay, through a non-invasive method of recording vocalising marine mammals. Information collected is critical to their existence.
Ocean Mind
Ocean Mind is a not for profit charity that provide therapeutic surf programs for young people who are experiencing challenges in their lives. The program uses local surfers to help young people reduce anxiety and improve their emotional health. It is a simple but powerful formula that nurtures young people and creates a safe environment for them to challenge themselves, create new friendships and develop new skills.
Surf Coast Trek (Give Where You Live Foundation and Kids+)
The Surf Coast Trek is a unique opportunity to participate in a challenging, rewarding and achievable community event that takes in the beautiful, diverse landscapes of the Surf Coast.
The Surf Coast Trek is a 40km or 26km fundraising walk along the Surf Coast Walk from Aireys Inlet or Anglesea to Torquay, raising valuable funds for Kids+ and the Give Where You Live Foundation.
Corio Little Athletics Centre
Corio Little Athletics Centre made up of five clubs across the north of the Geelong (Bell Park, Corio South, Corio West, Golden Plains and Lara). They run competitions for more than 300 children from ages 5 to 15 years at the Avalon Airport Athletics Arena in Corio.
Corio Little Athletics Centre has a focus on getting children from the Northern suburbs of Geelong active and participating in the community and GeelongPort’s sponsorships funds will be used to make participation affordable for families who may not otherwise be able to participate.
North Shore Football and Netball Club
The North Shore Football and Netball Club is part of the Geelong Football League. They have a strong focus on the northern suburbs of Geelong, aiming to increase participation in sport, encourage physical activity, build community capacity and improve social connection.
The Mission to Seafarers – Geelong
The Mission to Seafarers is an international mission of the Anglican Church that cares for the practical and spiritual welfare of seafarers of all nationalities and faiths. GeelongPort focuses its support into the Geelong Mission to Seafarers centre.
GOFC Football Coaching
GOFC Football Coaching is aimed at working with young female and male football players within the Great Geelong, Surf Coast, Bellarine and Otway’s region to develop skills and build a culture of sporting excellence.
GOFC run a number of development centers, offer representative tournaments (pre, during and post football season), school programs, events, coach development and general football development for the region. GeelongPort has supported all the female squads within GOFC since 2019.
Moorpanyal Park 1000
The Moorpanyal Park 1000 is Australia’s biggest free open water swim.
Organisations seeking sponsorship or a strategic partnership with GeelongPort are encouraged to apply via our Sponsorship Application Form at least three months before any sponsored activity is due to take place.
GeelongPort will assess each application individually and respond to all applications.
Approval for sponsorship will be based on the organsation’s or event’s alignment to GeelongPort’s sponsorship selection criteria.
