GeelongPort was proud to once again sponsor the Moorpanyal 1000, an annual 1000-metre Corio Bay swim.
Run by the passionate team at North Shore Residents Group, this free event has become an important part of the calendar for the local community and for the open water swimming community across the state.
This year, a vibrant sea of orange swim caps dotted the bay as participants hit the water despite less-than-ideal weather conditions, to challenge themselves and enjoy the sense of community that the event has become so well known for.
Beyond the race itself, the Moorpanyal 1000 Swim is a celebration of health, fitness and connection with the beautiful coastal environment on our doorstep.
Congratulations to all the participants on the day, and to the North Shore Residents Group who do a fantastic job of organising the swim every year.
