Port users travelling through Corio Quay will notice smoother roads and improved traffic-calming measures following a recent investment in road resurfacing works across the precinct.
The project involved resurfacing a substantial section of the road network and renewing speed humps throughout the area, helping to enhance the condition of key transport routes used by customers, contractors and freight operators.
Maintaining safe, reliable infrastructure is an important part of supporting efficient port operations. The upgraded road surfaces provide a smoother ride for vehicles accessing the precinct, while the renewed speed humps continue to support safe vehicle movement across the site. Together, these improvements contribute to a safer and more efficient environment for all road users.
The works form part of GeelongPort’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving critical port infrastructure that supports customers and the broader supply chain. By investing in the upkeep of road assets, GeelongPort is helping ensure the precinct remains safe, accessible and operational for years to come.
