GeelongPort Tops Global Sustainability Benchmark with Perfect Score
GeelongPort has achieved a global milestone, earning a perfect score of 100/100 in the 2025 GRESB Infrastructure Asset Assessment, ranking first among 652 organisations worldwide.
This marks the fifth consecutive year GeelongPort has earned a prestigious 5-Star GRESB Rating, and the first time it has achieved a perfect score and secured the top global ranking.
GeelongPort also outperformed eight peers in the Bulk Goods category, reinforcing its position as a global sustainability leader and its aspiration to be Australia’s most sustainable port.
GRESB, previously known as the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark, is the world’s leading ESG benchmark for real assets, used by investors and asset managers globally to assess sustainability performance. Only the top 20% of participants receive a 5-Star rating, making GeelongPort’s achievement exceptional.
In addition to its perfect score, GeelongPort has been named a Sector Leader by GRESB, an accolade reserved for organisations that set the pace for the industry through strong governance, operational excellence, and long-term value creation.
GRESB assessments are aligned with international reporting frameworks and emerging regulations, helping investors and asset managers benchmark ESG performance and manage risk in a rapidly changing market.
In 2025, participation remained strong, with 186 asset managers completing 805 assessments across Fund, Asset, and Development Asset categories.
GRESB data is used by hundreds of capital providers and thousands of asset managers globally to benchmark investments, manage risk, and identify opportunities as the industry transitions to a more sustainable future.
