GeelongPort Retains Highest Global Sustainability Score for Second Straight Year

GeelongPort has achieved the highest possible score in the world’s leading sustainability benchmark
for infrastructure assets for the second consecutive year, reinforcing its position among the highestperforming ports globally.

In the 2026 GRESB Infrastructure Asset Assessment, GeelongPort recorded 100 out of 100 and secured its sixth consecutive 5-Star GRESB Rating.

“Achieving a score of 100/100 is a significant accomplishment. Achieving it two years in a row is a
powerful statement about the calibre of our people and the standards we set for ourselves,” GeelongPort CEO Brett Winter said.

“This result confirms GeelongPort is not only meeting global best practice, but helping define it. As a
regional port, competing and succeeding on the world stage is something every member of our team
can be proud of.”

“Our ambition is to be Australia’s most sustainable port. Maintaining a GRESB score of 100
demonstrates we are delivering on that commitment and continuing to raise the bar,” said Mr Winter.

The Port also ranked first among its Bulk Goods Port peers and retained its status as a GRESB Sector
Leader.

The result recognises GeelongPort’s sustained leadership in environmental, social and governance
performance, and the discipline with which sustainability is embedded across its governance,
operations and long-term planning.

GRESB is the global benchmark used by investors and asset managers to assess how infrastructure
owners manage sustainability, climate risk, governance, operational performance and long-term
resilience.

Its assessments provide an important measure of how effectively infrastructure assets are responding
to changing economic, environmental and social expectations.

The achievement reflects GeelongPort’s continued investment in sustainability initiatives, transparent
reporting, emissions reduction, climate resilience and responsible business practices as it works
towards its ambition of becoming Australia’s most sustainable port.

As governments, investors and communities place greater emphasis on resilience and responsible
growth, the performance of critical infrastructure is under increasing scrutiny.

GeelongPort’s continued standing among global leaders demonstrates that a regional Victorian port
can meet the highest international standards while supporting the state’s economic growth and
energy transition.
